After Washington Wizards' top prospect AJ Dybantsa made his NBA debut, he talked about what he's learned from Anthony Davis. Dybantsa finished with 19 points against the Cleveland Cavs. Then, he helped the Wizards beat the Charlotte Hornets 95-79 in his first NBA Cup matchup.
After the win, Dybantsa revealed how Davis has influenced his rookie season, per Wizards reporter Bijan Todd.
“I’ll just be asking him random questions. Like I’ll see him doing something in his routine, and I’ll ask him why he’s doing it,” Dybantsa said. “He’s been dropping gems, so I’ve been trying to pick his brain.”

Trae Young endorses Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa
Wizards veteran guard Trae Young endorsed rookie AJ Dybantsa before the rookie's NBA debut. Young said Dybantsa is a special talent, especially since he is seeing how much time the league's top prospect puts into training as his teammate, per Oh No He Didn't's X, formerly Twitter.
“AJ, he’s one of one for sure. He’s definitely confident in himself, but he has all the reason to. The work he puts in and what he does on the court, sometimes it’s crazy to even think about,” Young said. “You wouldn’t even think a player can get from one point to the next as fast as he can. He’s so athletic and can score at all levels. He’s a very smart player, a cerebral player.
