The Houston Texans take on the Dallas Cowboys at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 4. Edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney is on the injury report and has been listed as questionable. The former number one pick is dealing with a knee injury that has kept him out of action since the opener. Jadeveon Clowney's injury status vs. Cowboys

Clowney was a limited participant at practice for most of the week heading into the Cowboys matchup, making many assume he would be ready to get back on the field. The player with 67.5 career sacks then sat out of Friday's practice. However, that appeared to be just a precautionary move, as Ian Rapoport is now reporting that Clowney is expected to play today.

The Texans came into the season with championship expectations, but they have fallen to 0-3 through three weeks, so they need all of the help they can get. Clowney, while a backup behind the elite pass rushing duo of Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, is a big part of what is supposed to be arguably the best defensive unit in the NFL.

So far, Houston's defense has fallen short. It has really been the offense, and even more so, the injury bug, that has held the team back. While Clowney will return to the field, Azeez Al-Shaair and M.J. Stewart are listed as out, and Logan Hall is questionable. Tank Dell is also on the injured reserve, and Jayden Higgins is out for the season.

Luckily, Nico Collins is returning to action in Week 4, too. An 0-3 start can be a death sentence for many, but the Texans made the playoffs after such a poor start last season. Clowney's return in Week 4, in particular, will help the Texans get back on track.
