The Golden State Warriors secured a come-from-behind win over the Phoenix Suns, 116-113, and Stephen Curry believes Draymond Green's ejection powered the team to victory.

Early in the third quarter, Green wrapped up Suns center Khaman Maluach to prevent an easy layup. Maluach still was able to convert the basket, but Green tossed him down to the ground. Suns forward Dylan Brooks, who has a history of tension with Green, ran up to confront Green, and he and Green got into a physical back-and-forth. Referees gave both a technical, and Draymond Green was ejected.

At the time, the Suns were down by 10 points, 67 to 57, but following Green's ejection, the Warriors fought back into the game, even securing their first lead of the second half with 11 minutes and 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter, off of a Charles Bassey layup. Following the game. Curry said he was grateful for Green's ejection as it woke the Warriors up and powered them to the victory.

“He lit a fire in all of us. We had to respond. I'm glad we did.”

Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski also saw value in the ejection and how it energized the team to complete the comeback.

“I loved it. It fueled our team. We didn't have that edge to us to start the game… I think it was needed and maybe he sensed it, maybe he didn't, but it helped us.”

The Warriors are now in the midst of a five-game win streak and are set to face off against the Miami Heat on November 5.
