The confrontation between Big Ten powerhouses Ohio State and Indiana saw the game come down to the final moments. While Indiana brought a 22-game winning streak into the home game against the Buckeyes, the Hoosiers fell short by a 19-14 margin when wide receiver Nick Marsh could not get his foot in the endzone after catching what could have been the g0-ahead TD pass. While Marsh may have hurt his overall perception, fellow Indiana wideout Charlie Becker continues to impress pro scouts with his remarkable play at the position.
Becker did everything he could to keep the Hoosiers in the game. He caught 9 passes for 165 yards as he averaged 18.3 yards per reception. He was often covered very tightly by the Buckeyes' defensive backs, but he was able to use his size and moves to wall off defenders and make exception catches. The 6-4, 210-pound Becker is athletic, agile and highly skilled as a receiver.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that he has spoken with multiple NFL teams that believe Becker can be a highly functioning NFL receiver, some even mentioning top-10 status in the NFL Draft next April.
Becker has caught 39 passes for 694 yards with 8 TDs this season. He has already passed his receiving numbers from the 2025 season. He caught 34 passes in 16 games last year for 679 yards with a 20.0 yards per catch average and 4 TDs.
Becker delivered a tremendous performance on the same stage as Heisman favorite Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State. Indiana attempted to double cover Smith throughout the game, and he was held to 4-68-1, but the touchdown came in the fourth quarter and was the game-winner for the Buckeyes.
