On Thursday night, the Milwaukee Brewers earned their 100th win of the 2026 MLB season with a 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Brewers are padding what already is their franchise-record in wins in a single season, but every win matters at this point with the goal of clinching homefield advantage throughout the playoffs in mind. One win should do it, considering that they already won the season series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (97-61).

The Brewers' Moneyball winning ways have been well-documented. They flip quality players who are on the last year of their contract to keep the line moving despite their budget constraints, and whatever they're doing has been working — as evidenced by their fifth 90-plus win season in the past six seasons.

Just to make their 100-win 2026 campaign all the more impressive, it's their consistency throughout the year that has gotten the job done for them. As per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, the Brewers have won 100 games this season even though they haven't had a winning streak longer than five games — becoming the first team in MLB history to do so.

Considering that they only have three games left this year (and have only won two in a row at the moment), achieving a six-game winning streak is no longer possible in the regular season.

What makes this feat all the more remarkable is that the Brewers lost six consecutive games earlier this season, which makes it so that they have had a longer losing streak this year than they have a winning streak.

Nevertheless, the Brewers aren't a team that gets too high nor too low. They know that the regular season is a marathon, not a sprint, hence their resilient nature which then allows them to bounce back from adversity.

But the Brewers will have to string together wins come postseason time. There isn't a better time for them to win six games in a row (or more) for the first time this year than when the lights are at their brightest.
