The Indianapolis Colts have been busy on the trade market in recent days, dealing Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers, with more moves rumored to be on the horizon. The fire sale comes amid the team's disastrous 2-5 start to the year, which continued with a recent road loss to the Minnesota Vikings over the weekend.

Now, Colts quarterback Daniel Jones has gotten candid about whether or not he's thought about his own future with the team amid the flurry of moves.

“I think it’s natural for some of those thoughts, but … I can’t control that. What I can control right now is playing football and preparing as well as I can …” he said, per James Boyd of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter.

It was just a year ago that the Colts were on the other side of a trade deadline fire sale, adding star cornerback Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets as they looked to make a playoff push amid their hot start to the 2025 season. However, virtually everything that could have gone from that point on has gone wrong, as Jones went down with a torn Achilles last season, and the Colts have stumbled out of the gates in 2026.

Indianapolis recently fired general manager Chris Ballard, and it remains to be seen if some of the other big-name players on their roster, headlined by running back Jonathan Taylor, will also be trade candidates in the coming weeks as their season continues to spiral.

In the meantime, the Colts will focus on their next game, a tough one on Sunday against the divisional rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm ET.
