Despite the Baltimore Ravens having a 13-0 lead against the Cincinnati Bengals in the first half of Sunday's game, the team would collapse, ending in a 35-13 loss. With the Ravens suffering an immense collapse, head coach Jesse Minter gave his reaction to the team's performance after the team's second straight loss.

Once again missing star quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore had an impressive first half with the 13-0 lead, but the Bengals would score 35 unanswered points to completely overwhelm the Ravens. Minter would say after the game that Baltimore has to gain a “consistency level” and find a way to be more “even-keeled” rather than “riding the wave of momentum.”

“The message is that I think in every game we've proven that we're good enough to be the type of team that we want to be, and we've proven that we're bad enough to be not a very good team as well,” Minter said, according to Jamison Henley. “So there's a consistency level that we need to find where it's less riding the wave of momentum and more about staying even-keeled and finding a way to have each other's back and finding a way to pick each other up.”

Ravens' Jesse Minter reflects on the type of team they're aiming to be

Minter would continue talking about how all three phases in the offense, defense, and special teams of the Ravens looked solid in the first half, but would commit “momentum-losing type of plays” in the second half.

While there could be people who could question Minter as the head coach after the huge collapse on Sunday afternoon, the head coach would reflect in saying that this point of the season is key to figuring out “what type of team we want to be.”

“Right now, I think it's just that it's a big point in the season for us to determine what type of team we want to be,” Minter said, via Henley.
