Ja’Marr Chase added another spectacular highlight to his growing collection Sunday. Even the Cincinnati Bengals superstar admitted his latest masterpiece may rank among the best catches of his career. During Cincinnati’s 20-6 victory over the Houston Texans, Chase hauled in a remarkable 32-yard touchdown while battling Derek Stingley Jr. Chase stumbled during the route before somehow recovering to make a sensational toe-drag reception.

Asked afterward whether it was the best catch he had ever made, Chase offered a measured answer: “Probably one of them, yes. Until I've seen a video, yeah, I can say that now.”

The play was even more chaotic from Chase’s perspective. He admitted he temporarily lost sight of Joe Burrow’s deep throw after stumbling and only spotted the football again as it arrived quickly under the stadium lights.

“I literally don’t know what I did,” Chase said, explaining that he was simply fighting to get into position. Despite the awkward sequence, Chase managed to contort backward and drag both feet inside the boundary before tumbling across the goal and side lines. The touchdown was one of two Chase scored as Cincinnati improved to 2–0.

Chase has become one of the NFL’s most prolific receivers since entering the league. He has built a dynamic partnership with Burrow that has helped transform Cincinnati’s offense. He also helped the Bengals reach Super Bowl LVI. To date, Chase has five Pro Bowl selections and back-to-back First-Team All-Pro honors. Chase has also surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first five seasons. He even captured the NFL receiving triple crown in 2024 with 127 receptions, 1,708 yards, and 17 touchdowns.
