Wednesday horse racing tips

Yarmouth

  • 15:41 - Fairy Glen 3/1 (1pt)
  • 16:12 - Enoch 1/1 (1pt)

Sandown

  • 15:30 - Cerro Blanco 1/1 (1pt)

Fairy Glen

Great price for a top-rated mare, who will be carrying the same weight as the rest of the field despite being clear of the rest in ratings.

She does drop back in trip from her usual stamina tests to this 1m1f contest, which is a bit of a surprise and a big move from trainers Simon & Ed Crisford.

But she was more than capable at the start of her career at this kind of trip and is a serial winner, including in two Group 2's this season at Meydan, so it's hard to ignore her at 3/1.

Enoch

Clear choice for the John & Thady Gosden-trained colt, who has gone 2-2 on the flat.

Is met with a penalty for that latest win, which also confirmed his ability and gets a first run in a handicap off of 95, which could turn out to be far too low for this progressive three-year-old.

Ryan Moore takes the mount and it's hard to see this going any other way than a win for the evens favourite.

Cerro Blanco

Hard not to side with Cerro Blanco, the three-year-old for Charlie Appleby, William Buick and Godolphin.

He's looking dangerous at this level now three-years-old but does have to take on some highly rated four-year-olds and his form is not yet confirmed.

He won on debut at Newmarket before placing a close enough second in May behind Saber Strike.

He then won by seven lengths again at Newmarket in August but expectedly so at a price of 1/25.

Step up from 7f to 1m is definitely a positive for this Wootton Bassett colt.

Nahraan looks to benefit from dropping back in trip but has yet to capture his form as a three-year-old and is best watched here.

And in the end, a 1/1 shot does look the most appealing from a bunch of rivals who all have something to prove too.
