Brooklyn Nets forward Julius Randle drew a flopping technical foul during Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics, giving Jayson Tatum a free throw in the second quarter at TD Garden.
Officials called the non-unsportsmanlike technical at the 1:18 mark after Randle went down near the paint during a Nolan Traore drive. The call came moments after Chaney Johnson’s putback made it 59-53 Brooklyn, and Tatum’s ensuing free throw trimmed the Nets’ lead to five.
ClutchPoints shared the NBC Sports Boston replay on X, formerly Twitter, underscoring the sequence that prompted the immediate ruling.
