The Golden State Warriors extended their winning streak on Wednesday with a 119-114 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. While rookie Yaxel Lendeborg once again impressed fans with his stellar performance, he was particularly amazed by Warriors superstar Stephen Curry's explosive 44-point display.

After the game, Lendeborg spoke to reporters in the locker room about witnessing Curry deliver his first 40-point performance of the season. The rookie expressed his admiration for the veteran guard's extraordinary scoring ability and admitted that he found himself in awe of what Curry was accomplishing on the court.

“I’m just watching like, man, this guy is good as hell,” Lendeborg said. “So I mean, I caught myself shaking my head like, wow, a couple times, you know, but once he got out of the game, it's like this is my opportunity to, you know, help him out, help his great be worth a while.”

Curry had 44 points, eight rebounds and six assists against Minnesota while Lendeborg finished the game with 26 points and eight rebounds, shooting 11-of-20 from the field. However, despite his scoring contribution, the rookie was frustrated with his seven turnovers.

“I played hella soft today,” he said. “Draymond told me as well. I gave in to all the fake pressure they were applying, and all the grabbing and all the pulling. I was playing a little timid, and I wasn’t decisive with any of my moves.”
