With the NFL 2026 season in full swing, Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green made list a NBA players' comparisons, including San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. After Green revealed how he nearly left the Warriors in 2023, he's been open about his opinions, per usual. Draymond weighed in on the NBA's potential expansion, stating the pros and cons of what could be confirmed in the near future.

For starters, in his NFL/NBA star comparisons, Green compared Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Minnesota Timberwovles All-Star Anthony Edwards to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson before making his own comparison, per The Draymond Green Show.

“I think the way that Fred Warner at linebacker can completely f*** up an offense. He hasn't been your typical linebacker, and yet, created his path, and became great. I would say the Fred Warner comp is none other than myself,” Green said. “A guy who would absolutely f*** your entire team's offense. Not quite the status quo of what everyone was looking for at that position. And yet, come out, and kind of recreate.

“Everybody's looking for the next Fred Warner. I kind of recreate that space, you know. Played the position at such a high level that everybody's looking for that next one. But wasn't touted that way. I got it out the mud and became that.”

In additon to Warriors veteran Draymond Green comparing himself to San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner, he also compared Cleveland Cavs All-Star Donovan Mitchell to Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum to Phildelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, and Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
