The Wake Forest Demon Deacons just earned what might be the biggest win of the season after knocking down the No. 16 Louisville Cardinals 30-27 on Saturday. It was an impressive outing for the program, as they managed to outplay one of the most exciting teams in the nation.
Wake Forest gained 402 total yards of offense against Louisville's 399. Where the Demon Deacons shined the brightest was in the ground game, as the Cardinals had no answer for the rushing attack. Ty Clark III, Deuce Lawrence, Gio Lopez, and Jamar Searcy combined for 177 rushing yards on the day, with Clark leading the team with 91 yards and two touchdowns.
