Justin Jefferson sent his thoughts and prayers out to Kyler Murray following the latter's injury in the Minnesota Vikings' 39-22 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon.
Murray looked to turn a new leaf after moving on from the Arizona Cardinals, joining the Vikings this past offseason. He won the starting job ahead of Week 1, looking to impress Minnesota fans in his team debut.
However, his time on the field didn't last long. He suffered a concussion midway through the first quarter as he needed to exit the game while Carson Wentz took his place at quarterback.
Minnesota persevered to secure the win at home, as Jefferson had praise for his squad. Before doing that, he shared his thoughts on Murray's health after the game on the CBS broadcast.
âÂÂDefinitely thinking about Kyler, and definitely just prayers out to him. Definitely don't want to see one of our brothers go down with that type of injury, but it was good to see him walk off the field and talk and just still be with us,â Jefferson said.
