The Minnesota Vikings have not had a dreamy start to the 2026 season. Vikings QB Kyler Murray threw an interception on his first pass attempt since joining Minnesota this offseason. Now the situation went from bad to worse after Murray suffered what could become a serious injury.

Murray is currently being evaluated for a concussion, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Minnesota put in backup quarterback Carson Wentz as a replacement for Murray.

The veteran quarterback picked up the injury while sliding on a play in the middle of the first quarter. Murray still received contact from multiple defenders, drawing a penalty on they play.
