The Minnesota Vikings will look to push their record to 6-0 on Sunday afternoon when they play host to the Indianapolis Colts. While the Vikings have been mightily impressive in winning every game so far, they've still seen some underwhelming play from veteran Kyler Murray at the quarterback position.

Recently, Vikings legendary wide receiver Cris Carter spoke on his confidence level that Murray will be able to turn things around moving forward.

“All the quarterbacks that have played under KOC, you see them getting better, and a lot of them did not have the overall ball talent or speed and ability to get out of the pocket… As they start getting some of these players back, get that running attack back, I see him only getting better as the season moves on,” he said, per DJ Siddiqi of RG.

However, he was also honest in giving Murray a rating for his performance so far this season.

“I would say it's still too early. I would probably give him a C (against the Saints). Him running might get him a B-minus and everything, but I think it's only going to get better when they get the wide receiving corps healthy,” he said.

Indeed, the Vikings have been playing without several key skill positional players, with Justin Jefferson among those having missed time so far in 2026. Murray has looked shaky at times, although, as Carter mentioned, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has a track record of getting elite play out of his quarterbacks sooner rather than later.

In any case, Minnesota and Indianapolis are slated to kick things off on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET.
