After acclaimed actor Tom Cruise joined Taylor Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos, he revealed his desire to do a movie with her.
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet for Digger, Cruise spoke highly of Swift. He was asked if he would appear in one of her music videos. While he would work with her, it'd have to be for a big screen project rather than a music video.
“First of all, I make movies. Let's go make a movie,” he said. “I think she's [so] talented in anything she does. She's absolutely brilliant. She's a brilliant writer. Brilliant.”

He went one step further, saying that “if she ever decided to direct, she could be a director of feature films. I know she does her videos, and she does a beautiful job. So, it would be amazing to work with her on anything. I respect her and her family and her husband — they're very magical.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Swift and Cruise will ever collaborate. Surely, they discussed it while at Arrowhead Stadium, but it appears it will have to be on the Top Gun star's terms.
Swift is a multifaceted talent, and her directing a feature film doesn't feel that far away. She has directed several of her music videos, and she has acted in movies like Cats and Amsterdam.
She made her directorial debut in 2021 with All Too Well: The Short Film. It is an adaptation of her 2012 song “All Too Well” and stars Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien.
All Too Well: The Short Film premiered at the AMC in Lincoln Square in New York City. It also screened at the Tribeca and Toronto film festivals and received a limited theatrical release. The natural next step would be to direct a feature film (hopefully with Cruise starring in it).
