Tiger Woods is back on the green following the plea deal he reached in his DUI case earlier this month.

The golf icon was spotted at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey on Tuesday (Sept. 15) ahead of his Nexus Cup charity event slated to take place this week at the golf course. In the video, Woods is seen teeing off with reporters on the driving range as they clapped for him after his first swing.

A reporter asked Woods how his golf game was and how many balls he was hitting.

“I can hit pretty much anything,” Woods responded.

Woods admitted that he was “a little stiff today” following his attendance at a social event last night.

This marks his first public appearance since the plea deal he took following his March DUI rollover crash in Florida. Woods pleaded no contest on Sept. 2 to a reduced charge of reckless driving, a careless driving citation, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. The original driving under the influence (DUI) charge was dropped in agreement as part of the plea agreement in Martin County Circuit Court. The plea included the golf icon receiving a five-year suspension of his license and having to pay 1,500 in fines.

After the crash, he took to X to acknowledge the incident and share his plans on recovery moving forward.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he wrote in a statement via X back in March. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

Woods reportedly went to a rehabilitation center in Zurich, Switzerland following the crash and completed the program in June, according to TMZ.

While the charity event is a step in the right direction as he continues to practice on the green, it's unclear when his professional return to golf will take place.
