The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies surprisingly suffered a 31-21 Week 3 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats. A&M allowed 21 unanswered points in the third quarter, and it was just too much of a deficit for the team to surmount a comeback. After the game, head coach Mike Elko gave the Wildcats their flowers on Saturday night.

During his postgame press conference, Elko was brutally honest about his team's performance against Kentucky. After giving Kentucky credit for playing a great game against Texas A&M, the 49-year-old perfectly summed up the contest with an NSFW message.

“Hat's off to Kentucky,” Elko said. “They came in here, and they beat our a**. Not good enough from us on any level. Coaching, playing, performing, physicality. Anything. So, on me. I own it. It's my program. I'm in charge of it, and we have to get it fixed… There's no positives. Not an ounce of a positive anywhere. So, there's a product that's not good enough. That starts with me. I did not do a good enough job of coaching this team.

“[Or] preparing this team and getting this team ready to play this week,” Elko continued. “So, I don't take any positives from this game. And I don't want to take anything away from Kentucky. Like, hats off to Kentucky. I hate when coaches get on the podium and don't give respect to the team that beat them. Kentucky came in here, and they whooped us. That should be the story of the game.”

While Texas A&M outgained Kentucky 423 total yards to 408, the Wildcats won the turnover battle. Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed threw two interceptions on the day, which appeared to be the difference-maker in this contest.

Mike Elko and his team will aim to bounce back in Week 4. However, Texas A&M is scheduled for an incredibly tough matchup against Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers.
