The Philadelphia Eagles are still dealing with Jalen Hurts's loss due to blood clots in his lungs. It was a huge blow not only for the franchise but for the NFL, as questions are being raised about what happened.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are doing their best to move on, with Tanner McKee taking command. During a presser on Thursday, McKee said he texted Hurts the night before and continues to seek mentorship from the Super Bowl MVP, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com.
“I texted him last night, McKee said. “Obviously I'll keep our conversations private, but we have a really good relationship. He's been an incredible role model, teammate, example, leader. I can't say enough positive things about him. Even in the situation that he's in, he's continued to be that for me, which is just super beneficial. It says a lot about how badly he wants to win, what kind of person he is, and the character that he is.”

The Eagles were cleared of any wrongdoing, but the NFLPA has called for an open investigation. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell welcomed that request on Wednesday.
The Eagles will play the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, October 26.
