After the Warriors' 119-114 win over the Anthony Edwards-less Minnesota Timberwolves, Curry was asked about Edwards' knee surgery. Following Edwards' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was announced to be undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, with an expectation to miss up to 2 months.

"Hopefully he can pick up where he left off because he was playing at such a high level. You want to see everybody healthy if you can, and he's included."

Asked whether he had spoken with Edwards and what advice he’d offer someone facing a first knee surgery, Curry said he had reached out by text and pointed to their connection as Olympic teammates.

“Yeah, I texted him earlier. He’s my Olympic teammate. We want to see him healthy, I know he’s going through some stuff.”

Curry stressed that the rehab process should be approached with the same discipline as game preparation, while accepting that injuries come with the sport.

“You just have to do what you can with the rehab, attack it the same way you do, get ready for games, and get your body as bulletproof as possible. Knowing that stuff happens, injuries happen, and keeping spirit right.”

He also expressed confidence that Edwards will return quickly and hoping he picks up where he left off.

“For him, it’s a long year, and I know, two months or whatever the prognosis was, he’ll be back in no time. Hopefully, he can play where he left off because he was playing at such a high level, so you want to see everybody as healthy as you can.”

Edwards, in 4 games of the 2026-2027 season, was averaging 33.3 points per game, along with 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2 steals, while shooting 48% from the field and 40% from three.
