The Steelers are placing wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Pittman aggravated his foot injury in practice Wednesday, and Steelers coach Mike McCarthy said Pittman is expected to miss multiple weeks.
Pittman had plantar fasciitis in his left foot that kept him out of the Week 2 game against the Patriots.
The Steelers traded with the Colts for Pittman in March and then signed him to a three-year, $59 million extension.
He has seven receptions on 12 targets for 89 yards this season.
