The Pittsburgh Steelers look to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Browns. Pittsburgh is signing a defensive player to help bolster the team. That player suffered an injury earlier this year, when working out in another team's training camp.
“The Steelers are signing DE KJ Henry to the practice squad after his workout yesterday. Henry was impressing with the 49ers in camp before an injury cut his summer short,” NFL insider Mike Garafolo posted to X, formerly Twitter.
In his NFL career, Henry has posted 22 total tackles. He has bounced around from quite a few NFL teams. He played the 2023 season with the Washington Commanders, before spending the 2024 campaign with the Dallas Cowboys. He also worked for other teams on their respective practice squads.
The Steelers are now 2-2 on the year after the loss to the Browns. Pittsburgh is dealing with some struggles on the offensive side of the ball. New Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy says he is committed to fixing the problems.
Article Continues BelowHow McCarthy goes about doing that is up for some debate. He made a somewhat strange statement after the team's last game.
“We need to clean our own house. Our house is not clean right now,” McCarthy said after the Browns loss, per ESPN.
There is a lot of pressure riding on McCarthy this season. He was brought in to replace Mike Tomlin, who never had a losing record in nearly 20 years as the Steelers head coach. Pittsburgh is led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who says this is his last NFL season.
Pittsburgh is in action on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts also enter the game with a 2-2 record.
