The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to get two important pieces of their offense back for Sunday’s AFC North matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and running back Jaylen Warren are both expected to play in Week 3 despite entering the weekend listed as questionable.
Pittman’s return gives Pittsburgh a reliable target after he missed Week 2 against the New England Patriots with a foot injury suffered in the season opener. He initially remained limited in practice throughout the week.
His expected availability should give the quarterback another option on the outside and take some pressure off rookie wideout Germie Bernard.
Warren is equally important, with Pittsburgh’s backfield taking a hit. Rico Dowdle has been ruled out after suffering a toe injury last week, leaving Warren in line for a significant workload despite dealing with a shoulder issue of his own.
