The Pittsburgh Steelers and Joey Porter Jr. are in the midst of a contract standoff. The two sides haven't been able to agree to a new deal that would pay the cornerback like one of the best players at his position in the entire league. During this deadlock, Porter's name has come up in trade rumors, and he has remained inactive with a back injury.
The injury itself is a little bit fishy, though, and it seems as though the former second-round pick is using it as an excuse to remain sidelined until he is paid. Chris Adamski seemingly confirmed as much, as the reporter posted footage of Porter playing catch and looking plenty healthy in the process.
