Shakur Stevenson vows to steal Hall of Fame icon’s broadcast job in furious rant over Ryan Garcia take

Shakur Stevenson has slammed Tim Bradley after the boxing icon suggested he should avoid Ryan Garcia.

Garcia picked up a two-round demolition KO of Conor Benn to retain his world title in Las Vegas at the weekend.

Pound-for-pound superstar and WBO super-lightweight champion Stevenson was sat ringside and watched on.

Shortly after the final bell, the Newark technician suggested a fight between himself and Garcia at 147lbs would be one of the biggest in the sport.

Bradley hits out at Stevenson vs Garcia chances

But former two-weight world champion Bradley took issue with Stevenson's suggestion that a bout could realistically happen.

He suggested that Stevenson's previous debate with Devin Haney over a potential catchweight shows Garcia isn't a possibility.

“Shakur, I saw your ass on TV last night, man," he said during a video.

"And you are talking about you and Ryan Garcia. Boy, you better be quiet.

"You ain’t going to 147lbs, boy. You wouldn’t even fight damn Haney at 144lbs.

"Stop playing. Talking about, ‘Yeah, in the future.’ Boy, be quiet. You aren't even in the conversation.”

Stevenson vows to steal Bradley's job in rant

Clearly, as expected, the current American superstar took issue with the tone of the criticism.

He took aim at Bradley in a furious tirade, even slamming his induction to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2023.

He shouted: “I don’t know why you speak on fighters so loosely. When you talk, you should talk a lot different than the way that you talk, bro.

"You are booty, bro. I just don’t understand you. I don’t get you. You already admitted how great I am.

"As soon as I say something back to your b***h ass, now you click-baiting all negativity on my name.

"That’s why you is a b***h. You’re a clout demon. You are one of the worst to ever be in the Hall of Fame."

The gifted operator then continued his rant on a subsequent video, where he threatened to steal Bradley's role in broadcasting.

He continued: "Next bro, I'm going to take your job. I'm way better than you at everything.

"Not just boxing, I have more money than you. I could have gone on air and hated on Ryan to get more views.

"But I keep it real, I'm going to take your job. You didn't have one two seconds ago."

Stevenson has clearly opened up a new feud which will likely rumble on in the coming weeks.

A showdown with Garcia is unlikely until the American has pursued a unification opportunity against Teofimo Lopez, and Stevenson has made a concrete decision on his weight division.
