The Seattle Seahawks are having a great start to their 2026 NFL season, and things could get even better for them, with a Week 3 matchup against the winless Washington Commanders this coming Sunday at Northwest Stadium in Landover.

For one, it appears that the reigning Super Bowl champions are on the verge of getting a key player on defense back, with safety Nick Emmanwori practicing in full on Wednesday.

“After being listed as limited on the first six injury reports of the season, S Nick Emmanwori was a full participant today,” Brady Henderson of ESPN wrote in a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

The 22-year-old Emmanwori missed the Seahawks' first two games of the season as he recovers from an offseason surgery on his ankl, which also caused him to miss action in training camp.

Getting a full practice on a Wednesday is a clear indication that Emmanwori is going to be ready to go for his 2026 season debut against the Commanders. Emmanwori's outlook doesn't sound too good for Washington, which is already missing its Week 1 starting quarterback Jayden Daniels and is only 21st in the league overall after two weeks with an average of just 185.0 passing yards per game.

The Seahawks, on the other hand, have been thriving against the pass, despite having missed Emmanwori's services in the first two weeks. Thus far, Seattle is leading the league with 124.5 passing yards allowed per game. The team's four defensive interceptions is also the most in the NFL to date.
