Ryan Garcia wants to unify with Teofimo Lopez on a blockbuster clash on Cinco De Mayo weekend in 2027.
And he already has a plan for a blockbuster event in May next year that he believes will have huge selling value.
Garcia made a monster statement with a two-round demolition of Conor Benn in his first defence of his WBC welterweight world title.
And immediately after the clash, he suggested his main priority was a unification with WBA 147lbs champion Lopez.
Garcia's plan to fight Lopez in mega event
'The Takeover' was ringside to watch Garcia's win and immediately issued his verbal agreement to a showdown.
When asked further about the clash, 'King Ry' already has plotted the details.
He said: "I want to unify against Teofimo, that is the next move.
"It's a huge fight, Teo is an entertaining dude and a good fighter too so it would be a heck of a build-up."
A reporter proposed a dual-card with unified WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion David Benavidez.
And Garcia believes his own clash with Lopez alongside a mouth-watering meeting between Benavidez and Jai Opetaia would be a record-breaking event.
He continued: "If Turki or Zuffa can make it happen, then yeah why not?
"I think that is a huge event on Cinco De Mayo weekend. I think it'd break the internet.
"And I think it could also be the highest-selling double feature ever."
Both Benavidez and Garcia are dual-nationality between the US and Mexico, and are both two of the biggest superstars in the sport right now.
Having both on the bill on the notorious weekend normally headlined by Canelo Alvarez could be a blockbuster commercial opportunity.
Will the event happen?
From Garcia's end he is entirely unobstructed to compete in such event, as he is now a promotional free agent and without a date.
However for Lopez, he is expected to be ordered to defend his title against Briton Jack Catterall.
Therefore he may need to offer a reluctant Catterall step-aside money to secure the meeting with Garcia.
