Rutgers football received an encouraging update on running back Antwan Raymond ahead of Saturday’s road matchup against No. 24 Northwestern, although his availability remains dependent on pregame warm-ups.
The Scarlet Knights enter the Big Ten contest following a 37-30 victory at Maryland, with another road test awaiting them at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois.
Raymond has rushed for 498 yards and five touchdowns on 105 carries this season. His availability remains a question as Rutgers visits 5-1 Northwestern amid a difficult season. The Scarlet Knights are 2-4 overall, 1-2 in Big Ten play and 1-3 at home.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel shared an update Saturday on X, formerly Twitter, indicating that Raymond remains a game-time decision but is trending toward playing.
The following story is in development and will be updated shortly.
