Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women’s WPL 2027 retention list: Full list of retained players

RCB Women are the defending champions of the WPL 2026.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB W) have announced their retention list for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027, with the defending champions retaining 13 players ahead of the mini-auction.

RCB W have won the WPL title twice, lifting the trophy in 2024 and again last season after defeating Delhi Capitals Women in the final. The Bengaluru-based franchise have retained their core group, including captain Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav.

With a strong core retained, RCB W will look to maintain their momentum and build a squad capable of challenging for a third WPL title in the upcoming season.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the key dates for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027. The fifth edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from January 14 to February 7, 2027, with five teams set to compete for the coveted title.

Ahead of the new season, franchises will have an opportunity to strengthen their squads at the WPL Player Auction. The auction is scheduled to be held on October 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Kochi.

The five franchises will look to address gaps in their squads and add quality players during the auction. With the tournament dates confirmed, teams will now shift their focus towards finalising their squads and preparing for the upcoming campaign. The auction is expected to play a key role in shaping the teams ahead of the fifth edition of the WPL.
