The Milwaukee Bucks thought they had a chance against the Houston Rockets. But Fred VanVleet came along.
The Rockets remained undefeated at 5-0 after walloping the Bucks, 132-100, at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday. Houston put the game away in the third quarter behind VanVleet's hot shooting.
The veteran guard scored 15 straight points, burying the Bucks with an array of moves from every corner of the floor, highlighted by a pull-up three-pointer after crossing over Jaime Jaquez Jr.
At that point, the Bucks should have just headed for the fire exit.
The 32-year-old VanVleet has been trying to regain his form after sitting out last season due to an ACL injury.
He finished with 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-9 from long distance, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
The Rockets will visit the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.
More details to come.
