Rhyne Howard is over the moon after the Atlanta Dream punched their ticket to the WNBA Finals following their 85-83 win over the New York Liberty in Game 3 of the semifinals on Friday night.

Howard has been playing in the WNBA since 2022, going through her fifth season with the Dream. She shines as one of the best players in the league, helping Atlanta be in firm contention with her star-quality skillset.

Atlanta enjoyed an incredible regular season, securing first place in the Eastern Conference standings. After that, they went 5-0 in their playoff games so far, sweeping the Washington Mystics and the Liberty. Howard reflected on the latest series win in the semifinals after the game, expressing excitement about the chance to be in the WNBA Finals.

“Our defense, man, whatever is happening on the other end, our defense never fails us,” Howard said on ESPN's SportsCenter. “We definitely showed that throughout the series. We definitely showed this throughout the season. And so I'm just happy that we're finally making it. This is a dream come true, not only for me, but for the rest of my teammates.”
