The Green Bay Packers lost a heartbreaking divisional matchup on Sunday. Green Bay fell to Detroit in a 20-17 slugfest that featured plenty of sloppy play from both teams. Unfortunately, the headline coming out of this game was a litany of questionable calls from the officiating crew in critical moments of this NFC North battle.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky shared a transcript of the pool report with referee Alex Moore after the game. Moore answered multiple questions about those questionable calls, though his answers didn't make fans any happier.

The first was an unnecessary roughness penalty on Devonte Wyatt in the third quarter. It was unclear if the whistle had blown after he tackled Amon-Ra St. Brown. When St. Brown attempted to continue running, Wyatt tackled him again and drew the flag.

“We ruled that the play was over. I can't honestly hear if there was a whistle or not, but the tackler made the tackle, the play was over. Then, there was an additional action, and he basically tackled him again with force after the play was over,” Moore said.

Understandably, Packers fans were furious after getting more information from Moore.

“‘I can't honestly hear if there was a whistle' but you threw the flag anyway. That's the explanation? Wyatt did exactly what he's coached to do,” one fan replied.

Other fans expressed their lack of faith that anything will change about NFL officiating.

“There won’t be any kind of accountability they’ll say whatever they want and it doesn’t matter,” another fan complained.

Moore also addressed a controversial intentional grounding penalty late in the game. He explained that Jordan Love was outside the pocket when he made his throw, but the pass did not make it past the line of scrimmage. Therefore, it resulted in a huge penalty.

Fans referenced when Lions QB Jared Goff had a strip-sack touchdown called back in Week 1. They argued that the ruling on that call does not seem to mesh with Love's intentional grounding penalty.

But the Packers can't afford to dwell on this crushing loss for too long.

Next up for the Packers is a home game against the Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
