The Ole Miss football program is currently gearing up for a tough road game on Saturday vs the Florida Gators. The Rebels will need to come down from the emotional high of beating Lane Kiffin and LSU this past weekend in an epic revenge game and refocus themselves to play in a tough road environment.

Recently, a coach who has competed against Ole Miss this season advised Florida on what to do in order to slow down Ole Miss Heisman Trophy hopeful quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.

“You have to load the box against him,” said the coach, per Pete Nakos of On3 Sports. “You can’t let that quarterback get comfortable — you have to apply pressure and blitz.”

Another coach also weighed in with advice on what Florida should do on offense vs the Rebels.

“That secondary had a lot of busted coverages against us,” said the coach. “There was too much communication on the back end, our shifts and motions confused them.”

The Swamp in Gainesville has been a house of horrors at times for the Rebels, making it clear a couple of years ago that the Jaxson Dart version of the team was not a real championship contender.

Ole Miss will need to show some major poise and emotional maturity on Saturday in order to not get swept up in the momentum from their win against LSU and put together a strong performance on the road.

Having Chambliss and his veteran experience at quarterback should certainly help in that quest.

In any case, kickoff between Florida and Ole Miss is set for Saturday at 3:30 pm ET from The Swamp.
