The finish of the match saw chaos break out as Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae interfered, and Gargano hit Punk with the title. Shortly after, Kevin Owens also interfered and accidentally hit Punk with the championship. Zayn took advantage of the moment and emerged victorious.
Now, a latest report has emerged sharing more details on the reason behind Zayn's title win. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider's multiple sources, WWE had Zayn win the title for a second time because of their plans. WWE wants to have a match between him and Roman Reigns in the main event of the Crown Jewel PLE in Nov. 2026.

WWE Crown Jewel is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Nov. 7, 2026. This will mark the promotion's first event in Saudi Arabia since Night of Champions in Jun. 2026, where Zayn won his first Undisputed title.
