Down 2-0, the Tampa Bay Rays desperately need to take Game 3 of the World Series. Outfielder Chandler Simpson is doing his part after making an incredible catch at the wall in the second inning.
Rays outfielder Sal Frelick thought he had an extra base hit after he took a Freddy Peralta fastball to the opposite field. However, Simpson had other ideas as he came flying out and leapt full-speed to make the catch before crashing hard into the wall.
A different angle of the play shows just how forceful Simpson's impact on the wall was, making his play all the more impressive.
Simpson's sensational catch helped make up for his base-running error earlier in the game. After getting on base via a fielder's choice in the first inning, Simpson attempted to seal second on Brewers pitcher Robert Gasser. However, the Rays outfielder missed second base with his slide and was easily tagged out to end the inning.

As his epic catch showed, Simpson is known more for his glove. But the second-year man has also been a steady contributor with his bat during the postseason. While he is still waiting to hit the first home run of his MLB career, he has been at least able to make contact.
Heading into Game 3 of the World Series, he had hit safely in seven of 10 playoff appearances. That includes a four-game hitting streak. He also got a run and an RBI in the Rays' four-run first inning in Game 2, which unfortunately for them, ended in a 5-4 collapse.
