The Baltimore ravens are getting ready to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil in Week 3, and the team got an iencouraging Zay Flowers injury update ahead of the game. Despite the injured wide reciever making the trip to South America and even practicing a bit this week, it doesn't sound like he will be a full go on Sunday.
“[Zay Flowers] at least has a chance to go. I'm told from the source that he is expecting to test out that hamster injury pregame. If he does play, he will likely be on a pitch count. He at least made the rtip. Didn't practice a lot, but got in some action on Friday, that's a good sign,” Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday.
Flowers has been nursing a hamstring issue, and his absence was felt in Week 2 when Baltimore fell to teh New Orleans Saints 24-17. Now, the Ravens take on the Cowboys in a unque Brazil showdown that feels like a must win game for both 1-1 teams that are looking to keep pace with the best squads in their respective conferences.
Playign Flowers in Brazil could be risky, though, as the field has been a major concren leading up to this overseas game. The turf at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro has been a major point of contention. The NFL has given the green light for the two teams to play after turf issues were addressed, but for Ravens fans, having their key reciever running around on shaky grass with a hamstring injury has to make you nnervous.
