Derrick Henry was dominant in the Baltimore Ravens' 41-23 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon, making history that saw him surpass NFL legend Marcus Allen.

Henry has been playing in the league since 2016, going through his third season with the Ravens. He shines as one of the best running backs, continuing to build a resume that arguably stands out among the best in league history.

Henry dominated the Colts' run defense in the Ravens' opener on the road. He racked up 24 rushes for 144 yards and three touchdowns while catching a 19-yard pass.

His career now puts him at 128 rushing touchdowns after Week 1 of the 2026 season, which had him surpass Allen on the all-time list with most rushing touchdowns. Henry reflected on the moment after the game, per reporter Jamison Hensley. His reaction towards the feat was humble, giving respect to the legendary rusher who won the Super Bowl in 1983 and MVP in 1985.

“Love Marcus Allen. I got to get to know him through the Heisman commercials and through those times. He's a great dude, and for my name to be mentioned over his, it's an honor. I'm very grateful. Shout out to everybody that helped me get to this point. And shout out to the O-line; all the guys blocking led to the success that we had as an offense,” Henry said.

Derrick Henry still boasts incredible talent as a veteran running back, flourishing throughout the Ravens' road win over the Colts.

Baltimore did most of its damage in the first half. They torched Indianapolis 31-13 throughout the opening 30 minutes, a deficit that the hosts were unable to recover from.

Lamar Jackson had a strong performance, completing 17 out of 25 passes for 324 yards and a touchdown while rushing seven times for 40 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Zay Flowers dominated in the receiving corps with five catches for 150 yards and a touchdown before going down with an injury.

The Ravens look forward to their next matchup, being at home. They host the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 as kickoff commences on Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. ET.
