Ravens head coach Jesse Minter expressed confidence in kicker Tyler Loop after a shaky preseason, but the team moved to add veteran Jake Moody to their practice squad as another option.
Loop had no issues in BaltimoreâÂÂs Week 1 win over the Colts and the Ravens donâÂÂt feel the need to keep another kicker around at the moment. They announced MoodyâÂÂs release on Tuesday.
Moody kicked in six games for the Commanders, two games for the Bears and one game for the 49ers last season. The 2023 49ers third-round pick also played in 31 games over his first two seasons.
The Ravens signed wide receiver Gage Larvadain to the practice squad in a corresponding move. He appeared in 13 games for the Browns last year and had seven catches for 71 yards. The Ravens saw Zay Flowers and JaâÂÂKobi Lane leave last SundayâÂÂs win with injuries.
