The Baltimore Ravens have been without Lamar Jackson for the past two games as he nurses an ankle injury. The good news is that he was able to practice this week, and the hope is that he's able to return to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Marlon Humphrey has not been shy about speaking his mind, and he did so when he was asked about how Jackson looked in his return to practice.

“I think anything related to Lamar is the thing I don't talk about. If Lamar can play, it'd be great. If he doesn't, we got Snoop. It seems like Lamar is the only quarterback who kinda gets the slander that he gets anytime anything is going on. I feel like you just don't see these same articles; you don't see these same headlines,” Humphrey said.

Humphrey didn't specifically answer the original, so he was asked as a follow-up if he meant injury slander.

“I know if Lamar Jackson can play (healthy enough to play), he will play,” Humphrey said.

There could be some truth to what Humphrey is referencing. All eyes have been on Jackson over the past couple of weeks because of his injury, and with that, people are going to talk. Whether it's the severity of the injury, whether he's healthy enough to play, or when he could come back, the pundits will always have something to say.

For Jackson, the best thing to do is to block out the noise, and it seems like he does a good job of doing so. The main focus for the quarterback is getting back on the field, and it looks like he's close to doing so. It's also good to see his teammates supporting him, and it's no surprise that it came from Humphrey.
