Sunday Night Football in Week 3 presents to you the Los Angeles Rams (1-1) at the Denver Broncos (1-1) kicking off at 8:20 PM Eastern on NBC and Peacock! Denver and Los Angeles are both coming off wins as the defenses flexed its muscles holding opponents to 19 combined points last week. These are two of the best defensive squads in the NFL matching up at Mile High and they have to be feeling pretty good after getting in the win column for the first time in 2026.
The Rams handled the Giants, 28-6, as the stars were out for Los Angeles. Matthew Stafford threw for 327 yards and tossed four touchdowns, including two of them to Davante Adams who had a monster game. Adams caught eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, while the LA running back duo of Kyren Williams (85 yards) and Blake Corum (79 yards) combined for 164 rushing yards on 24 carries. The defense had 10 pass deflections, one interception, held New York to 182 yards on 55 plays for 3.3 yards per play, and a 3-of-14 mark on third downs. Los Angeles did a 180 compared to the 27-7 season opening loss to the 49ers in Australia.
Denver’s Week 1 offensive issues carried over into the first half of Week 2 before Bo Nix and company finally got into the swing of things. The Broncos outscored the Jaguars 17-3 in the second half of Sunday’s 20-13 win over Jacksonville. Denver outgained Jacksonville, 392-268 in yards and averaged 1.7 more yards per play. The Broncos Offensive Coordinator, Davis Webb, received the criticism around the usage of Jaylen Waddle in Week 1. Waddle went from one reception and two yards on three targets to eight catches for 138 yards on 10 targets in Week 2! Rookie RB Jonah Coleman scored the first touchdown of his career against the Jaguars and Riley Moss nabbed his third career interception.
