The Los Angeles Rams were without Puka Nacua in the 28-6 Week 2 win over the New York Giants, as he's dealing with a hip injury. With his chances of playing in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos looking grim, head coach Sean McVay at least provided an optimistic return timeline for the 25-year-old wide receiver.
After being ruled doubtful for Sunday's matchup in Denver, McVay claimed that he thinks Nacua could return by Week 4 for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The four-year veteran still needs extra time to recover, but it doesn't appear a trip to the IR is being discussed in Los Angeles for now.
“Sean McVay believes that, barring a setback, Puka Nacua could return next week vs. the Eagles,” Schefter reported.
