The Los Angeles Rams finally looked like their usual selves in Week 2. LA completely crushed New York 28-6 in a game where Aaron Donald returned to the NFL after a few years away. It certainly helped that one Rams veteran receiver had an excellent performance on Monday Night Football.
Rams wide receiver Davante Adams proved that he can still play at a high level in Week 2. Now everyone, including his friend Kay Adams, is curious how long he will continue playing in the NFL.
She asked him about the idea of playing until he is 37 years old during a recent interview on Up & Adams with Kay Adams.
“I mean, I try not to even think about it too much because one I feel old,” Davante began.
But Kay jumped in immediately because she did not like Davante's initial response.
“We're not doing this ‘I'm old' thing,” Adams joked.
Once Davante opened up a bit more, it became clear that he wants to leave it all out on the field. But that doesn't mean that Adams is ready to commit to how long his NFL career will last.
“I follow you, yes. I don't know that I'll be playing until I am 37 years old,” Adams replied. “I'm 33 now, turning 34 at Christmas Eve, I'm not trying to add any extra years to my age. But playing until you're 37 is not easy to do. We'll check back maybe next year around this time and see. Maybe sooner than that, I don't know. I can't tell you when I'm gonna call it. But at the end of the day I know when I do, I'm gonna make sure that I know for a fact that I've given this game everything that I can.”
It will be exciting to see how Adams' timeline might shift if the Rams win a Super Bowl this season.
