The Raiders designated tight end Carter Runyon to return Wednesday, the team announced.

It opens Runyon’s 21-day practice window, and the team can activate him back to the active roster at any point in the next three weeks.

Runyon went on injured reserve on Aug. 30 with an undisclosed injury after not playing in the preseason.

He became eligible to return last week after missing four games.

Runyon played 13 games last season, seeing action on 45 offensive snaps and 206 on special teams. He made two tackles and caught one pass for 3 yards.
