Head coach Mike Vrabel said at his Wednesday press conference that the Patriots have ruled out five players for Thursday night’s game against the Bears.
That group includes left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) and right guard Ben Brown (knee). Vrabel said that Matt Pryor and Walter Rouse will start on either side of center Jared Wilson with the two guards out of the lineup.
Cornerback Carlton Davis returned to practice on Tuesday, but Vrabel said he will miss another game with his neck injury.
Backup cornerbacks Karon Prunty (hamstring) and Channing Canada (hamstring) are the other two players that have been ruled out ahead of the trip to Chicago.
