Brittany Mahomes took to her Instagram Stories to send a reminder that all of ESPN's analysts â Domonique Foxworth, Tedy Bruschi, Rex Ryan, and Mike Greenberg â picked the Broncos to beat the Chiefs. She wrote, âÂÂOopsies,â over it.
Ultimately, Kansas City blew out Denver, beating them 31-10. It was a dominant win in Patrick Mahomes' return from a torn ACL injury suffered in December 2025. Fans will have to wait and see if the Week 1 win instills more confidence in the Chiefs when the ESPN analysts pick their next game.

Mahomes and the Chiefs blew out the Broncos by 21 points in Week 1. This was the quarterback's first game action since suffering a torn ACL in December 2025.

Kenneth Walker III was the story of the game, though. The reigning Super Bowl MVP rushed for 173 yards on 23 carries and had a long 60-yard touchdown run. He also caught a touchdown pass.
The Chiefs' defense was also huge in the game. Bo Nix was held to just 131 passing yards, and his first pass was intercepted. He was sacked four times, and he fumbled the ball three times, losing one of the fumbles.
Kansas City will host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 2. The Chiefs won their last encounter in Week 12 of the 2025 regular season in an overtime thriller. Mahomes threw for 352 yards in the contest.
