Pakistan meet Bangladesh, India meet Sri Lanka in Asian Games men's semi-finals

With all four quarter-finals of the Asian Games Men's Competition in Nisshin washed out without a ball bowled, the four pre-tournament seeded teams are through to the semi-finals. Both semi-finals will be played on Thursday, with Pakistan meeting Bangladesh at 9am local time, and India facing Sri Lanka at 2pm.

Nisshin remains the venue for the semi-finals as well as the two medal matches - the third-place playoff and final - that will be played on Saturday. Though there is still a threat of rain on Thursday, the forecast is for brighter weather.

In case of a tie in any of the remaining matches, a Super Over will determine the winner. In the semi-finals, if weather conditions prevent the match or Super Over from being completed, the higher seed will go through to the final - India and Pakistan are the higher seeds in their respective matches. In case of a washout in the final, the two teams will share the gold medal.

Because of weather and pre-seedings, none of the four semi-finalists have contested a single ball of the tournament yet. The four quarter-finalists who came through from the group stage - Nepal, Afghanistan, Malaysia and Hong Kong - end their tournaments with one win, one loss and one washout apiece.
