San Diego Padres rookie Ethan Salas turned Wednesday night into a career milestone, hitting the first two home runs of his MLB career against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

The 20-year-old catcher hit his first career home run, a 426-foot solo shot to center field in the second inning, giving San Diego a 3-1 lead. Three innings later, Salas struck again with a two-run shot to right that extended the Padres' advantage to 8-1.

ClutchPoints took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a video of Salas connecting for his second homer of the night just two weeks after San Diego promoted the highly regarded rookie to the majors.
