The Green Bay Packers have had an up-and-down start to the 2026 season. Green Bay has shown the ability to win some close games. However, there are pretty glaring issues that need to be cleaned up. A clean game will be needed in Week 5 when the Packers take on the Chicago Bears.

The Packers and Bears are one of the most historic rivalries in NFL history. These teams have so much history, and this game means a lot to many people. This is not lost on Green Bay defender Zaire Franklin, who is certainly looking forward to this contest.

“A lot of bad blood. Nowadays most rivalries are on social media and the offseason you're hanging out. I don't think anybody wants to hang out with the Bears in the offseason,” the Packers defender said, via local reporter Vince Lovergine.

Green Bay certainly has the motivation to bring its A game in Week 5. They faced the Bears three times last season, including in the NFC Wild Card round. Chicago won two of those matchups.

One of those matchups was that playoff game. The Packers raced out to a 21-6 lead entering the fourth quarter. But the Bears made a marvelous comeback and won the game with a 25-point effort in the fourth quarter.

The Packers want to string together some wins early in the season. While the Bears will be without Caleb Williams under center, Chicago has proven it can be a dangerous team. It will certainly be interesting to see how this game unfolds on Sunday afternoon.
