The Green Bay Packers squeaked out of Week 2 with an overtime 20-17 win over the New York Jets. While all eyes were on Jordan Love and the offense, Micah Parsons couldn't help but give teammate Lukas Van Ness his flowers for his efforts on the defensive side of the ball.
The 25-year-old linebacker was a menace throughout the game on Sunday. He finished the day with 10 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks. Van Ness was part of the Packers' crucial fourth-down stop in the fourth quarter, and joined in on the overtime sack of Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
Parsons reacted to Van Ness' play with a short post on X. The five-year veteran posted Van Ness' jersey number with a lion emoji right next to it as a show of appreciation for his teammate's play for the Packers.
